Lovingly nicknamed "Gee", Yvette was born to Estelle Fleck Blackwell and William Roy "WR" Blackwell on April 11, 1943 in Freeport, Texas. She attended Brazosport High School and graduated with the Class of 1961. She lived life bringing love and laughter to her 2 main passions, friends and family. Her early years were filled with horse-riding, barrel racing, raising cattle, hunting, fishing, camping and raising her children. Later, she loved traveling and experiencing wonderful cuisine. She turned every day into a party and every acquaintance into a friend.

Yvette is remembered with love by her husband Eldon Eugene Mallams, children: Jana Hynds Syring, Jamey Ray Hynds, stepchildren: Cheryl Mallams, Susan Mallams and David Mallams, grandchildren: Chase Syring, Patrick Syring, Taylor Hynds, Hunter Hynds and Hannah Hynds, step grandchildren: Jennifer Soldato, Jackson Blanchard, Jillayne Blanchard and Jonathan Mallams, great-grandchildren: Brody Syring, Braislyn Syring, Colby Syring, Emma Syring, step great-grandchildren: Regan Soldato, Gabriel Soldato, Joey Soldato, Brennan Soldato, Adelynn Soldato and Ryan Blanchard, siblings: Elaine Hanbury, Janice Day, Carroll Blackwell, Terry Boling, Sherry Lamar and her mother Estelle (Mamaw) Blackwell.
