Yolanda Ortiz Alexander, age 66, was called home on January 31, 2020 with her family at her side. Yolanda was born on February 2, 1953. She was the wife of George Munguia Alexander, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage together.

Born in Houston, Texas, on February 2, 1953 as the first child to Henrietta Morales Ortiz and Robert Valdez Ortiz. She graduated from Regan High School in 1971. She worked at AT&T for over 30 years as a Customer Service Representative.

George and Yolanda met in 1968 when in they were just in high school. Yolanda was in the marching band along with George's cousins, Rudy and Robert Reyes, at Regan High School. They introduced Yolanda to George, who attended Jeff Davis High School and the rest is history.

She enjoyed all the various activities provided through George's affiliation with the Masonic Lodge. It was also well known that Yolanda held a special place in her heart for animals. She treasured the companionship of both canine and feline family members throughout her entire life.

She is survived by George Munguia Alexander, her loving spouse, Janie Marie Alexander, daughter, Jason Eric Alexander and Tamara Sasha Alexander, son and daughter-in-law, Xavier Nicholas Alexander and Talia Zoe Alexander, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, Robert Joseph Ortiz and Helen Jeanene Ortiz. Her father, mother, and her sister, Patricia XX Villa, precede her in death.

There will not be an internment or graveside service.
