Winifred Barfoot Martin, 88, of Houston, Texas passed away January 19, 2021.   She was born in Argentina and immigrated to the United States in 1971.  Winnie proudly fulfilled her dream by becoming a United States Citizen in 1984.  Winnie resided in Spring Valley for 45 years and spent most of her career working with the Pappas organization. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and most recently a great grandmother.  Winnie has been a parishioner of St. Cecilia Catholic Church for 49 years.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, William Martin, parents, Blanca and Percival Barfoot and her sister Grace Van Rutten.  She is survived by her devoted family; sons, Bill Martin of Austin, Eddie Martin and wife, Michelle of Cypress, Texas; and her most beloved grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Seth Due, Emily and Ryan Martin; and great granddaughter Sunny Due and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A Rosary and Visitation will be held at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 11720 Joan of Arc, Houston, TX 77024 (713)465-3414 starting at 9:30 - 10:45am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Klein Memorial Park 249, Pinehurst, TX.
