Wilma Grace Bailey, born 7-17-1936 in Malvern, Arkansas and passed away September 13, 2017 in The Woodlands, Texas. Her parents were Harold and Bessie Lamont who moved the family to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1949. She graduated from Fort Collins High school in 1954 and from Colorado State University in 1957. She married L. Carl Bailey in Fort Collins on December 22,1957. Wilma is survived by her husband Carl, daughter Becky and son Harold, Becky's children, Alexah and Daniel Hoopingarner and sister Mary Ritchey.
Wilma loved to play tennis and was an avid bridge player. She enjoyed world travel and living in foreign countries as Carl was transferred from place to place. She taught school in several locations, while obtaining a master's degree in education and was well on her way to a doctor's degree when her efforts were interrupted by the transfers of her husband.
Wilma's ashes will be spread at her home in the area where for several years she carefully fed and watered the deer that she loved so much. The deer appreciated her attention and several would eat from her hand. She named many of them and watched them with great delight.
