Obituary

Willman William Milliet III, affectionately known as Trip throughout his life, was born on June 29, 1953, into a colorful New Orleans family, and peacefully passed away on August 20, 2021.

He attended New Orleans Academy (NOA) from kindergarten through high school, graduating in 1971. He then attended Principia College in Illinois, where he met the love of his life, Heather. He graduated in 1975 with a Bachelor's Degree in history and education.

After college, he worked as a salesman for LAS Enterprises, a home improvement company in New Orleans, then opened several branches in Louisiana and Texas, which led him to Houston, where he eventually decided to open his own successful company, Weatherseal Products, Inc., that has thrived for almost 40 years, thanks to his tireless work ethic and charisma.

Trip was a well-rounded Renaissance man of many talents and passions. He enjoyed acting and singing in community theater musicals with his family. He also had a special talent for encouraging people to discover their own gifts and careers, and he used his gift of teaching by leading his daughters' Sunday School classes, as well as Bible history studies. He loved every aspect of history, including American, New Orleans, or family history. He was a passionate New Orleans Saints football fan, even when they screwed up, which was much of the time, having been indoctrinated by his grandmother who took him to the first Saints game in 1967.  Above all, he was a loyal family man who loved spending time with his family and friends, whether sitting around singing and playing guitar or traveling together, near or far to be with the ones he loved.

Trip was a genuine, friendly person, always wearing a warm, easy smile, loved by everyone who knew him.  He was a kind, patient, gentle, easy-going, and above all, loving soul.  He was fun-loving and had a natural sense of humor, with a twinkle in his eye, along with recounting many a colorful family story or joke, sometimes off-color, passed down from family lore.  What a positive, optimistic and ever joyful spirit he possessed!

He was the beloved husband of Heather Archer Milliet. Son of the late Willman William Milliet II and Nan Levey Kleiman.  Loving father of Mollie Milliet Trubek and Bonnie Milliet Breese. Father-in-law of Simon Trubek and Elliott Breese. Brother of Michael Kleiman, Kenneth Milliet and Mark Milliet.  Grandfather of Charlotte Garrison, Ella Trubek, Joseph Trubek, Eleanor Breese, and Elizabeth Breese.

Animal "children" that precede him; the late Trixie ("Padio") Milliet, Harriett, Buttons, Scooter, Muffy, Tuffy, Toby, Minnie, and Mickey, and Kittie. Loving animal father of; Henry, Hillary, Dreamy and Mommy Kitty.

Always a true gentleman and gentle man, he lived the Annie lyrics, "It's what you wear from ear to ear, and not from head to toe that matters…".
