It is with great sadness that the family of Willie Frank Minshew announces his passing on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the age of 78 years. Frank was born in Haines City, Florida to Oscar Roy Minshew and Glenice Elberta Jones on February 10, 1941.

On July 28, 1962, he married Edna Denise Hirtzel of Kissimmee at the First Baptist Church in Kissimmee, Florida. Denise and Frank moved to Dallas, Texas in 1965, finally making their home in Duncanville, Texas in 1974. After living in Duncanville for 23 years, they moved to Tomball, Texas where they spent the remainder of his retirement years next door to his daughter and grandchildren.

Frank was a truck driver for Red Ball Motor Freight then ANR Freight System, both in Dallas, when he retired after 30+ years of service. For his long service in the union, he was recognized as an honorary retired member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Frank was an active member of the Irving Bow Hunter's Association (IBA) in Irving, Texas. He enjoyed deer hunting at Fort Hood and elk hunting in Colorado, fishing off the saltwater shores of Texas, boating and skiing at Lake Grapevine and tending to his backyard garden. Frank was passionate about NASCAR races on the weekend and little league baseball in the summer. He was famous for hiding ice cream out in his shop for his grandchildren to sneak off and enjoy, and was a constant presence at all of their sporting events.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Alanna Marie Tynes Garza, sons-in-law Michael Garza and Brett Tynes, 4 grandchildren, Cameron, Christian, Caidyn and Cassady and in Florida his sister Barbara, brother Ronald, half brothers Nathan and Virgil, and stepbrother Charles. He was fortunate to have the care of Marjorie Sillavan during his final years.

The family extends its heartfelt thanks to Harbor Hospice, including Miranda, his nurse Nichole, CNA Jacinda, and all of the other wonderful staff who took such good care of Frank.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Edna Denise Minshew, parents Roy and Glenice, stepmother Helen, stepsisters Mary and Theresa Lee, stepbrother James, and daughter Brenda Marie Minshew.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 13th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., at Klein's Funeral Home, 1400 W Main St, Tomball, Texas. He will be placed next to his wife and daughter at the Rose Hill Cemetery, 1615 Boggy Creek Road, in Kissimmee, Florida.
