William Vance Brannon (Bill), 78, of Houston, Texas passed away on July 26th, 2025 surrounded by his family. Bill was born on August 9th, 1946, in Corsicana, Texas to the late James Oliver Brannon and Inez Elizabeth (Barfield) Brannon.

Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Nikki Brannon; Son in law, Shane Ryan; Grandchildren, Marcus Obledo and granddaughter in law, Stephany Medina- Acosta, Alexis Wylie and Kash Ryan; Great-Grandchild, Alanna Obledo;

Step-Grandchildren, John Lee Steinbecker, and Samantha Hamontree.

In 1966, Bill proudly served in the United States Navy, where he exemplified bravery and dedication, traits that he carried with him throughout his life. After his military service, he became a loving pillar of our family. He always cherished the moments spent with his grandchildren, while making sure his family was his priority, and they were always taken care of. His eyes would light up at the sound of their laughter, and he took immense joy in sharing stories and wisdom with them. Bill will be remembered not only for his service but for the profound love he had for his family and the lasting impact he made on all of our lives.

Bill dedicated many years of his life to his career, beginning with General Electric, where he honored his skills and embraced the value of hard work. He later joined Cerametals, serving for over 25 years, during which he took great pride in his contributions and the relationships he built with colleagues. His commitment and work ethic were evident, and he was respected by all who had the privilege of working alongside him. After retiring in 2020, he cherished the time spent with family and the opportunities to enjoy life at a more leisurely pace.

Throughout his life, Bill found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was eating a few of his favorites like sandwiches, fried chicken from popeyes, with a glass of milk, which his grandkids had the opportunity to make many of those! All while watching Fox news, or Perry Mason. He lived his life to the fullest, embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm and resilience. A true fighter, he faced challenges head-on, through every medical diagnosis to every doctor's appointment. His spirit, love for life, and unwavering dedication and love for his family will forever inspire those who knew him.

Including his parents Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife of 20 years Janice Brannon whom he loved and cherished. Also, his step daughter Tammy Steinbecker.

Memorial Services will be held Monday, August 18th, 2025 at 10AM at Klein Memorial Park 249, 32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, Texas 77362, with Chaplin Calvin Harris officiating.
