William "Bill" Joseph Prime, loving husband and father, was born on March 4th, 1939. An only child, Bill enjoyed exploring the woods and streams of Pennsylvania and, in particular, fly fishing with his father. He attended St, Joseph's University on a partial scholarship won for his skill at playing the saxophone. He majored in business / marketing and was a member of the Air Force ROTC. After graduation he served in the Air Force for three years and achieved the rank of Captain.
Bill married Joan Boris in 1968, worked for Gulf Oil, had a daughter and moved to Texas in the 1970s. He eventually got an M.B.A. from SMU. He worked most of his life in internal auditing for Gulf Oil, Chevron, and then as Senior Auditor for the Diocese of Galveston / Houston. As a life-long learner, he became a Certified Internal Auditor in January 2015 through the Institute of Internal Auditors. In addition to promoting best practices in accounting, Bill also sought to combat age discrimination in the workplace.
Bill will be especially remembered for his love of technology, his friendly spirit and kindness, and especially his devotion and dedication to his family and friends, who deeply miss him.
