Obituary

William Cody Lee Hurst, a beloved father, husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend passed away on Tuesday, March 16th 2021. He was born in Cleveland, Mississippi and grew up in Tomball, Tx.

Cody could lighten up a room with his contagious smile and jokes. Even on his toughest days he was there to brighten someone's day. Cody had one of the biggest hearts, he was always there for his friends and family, sometimes even complete strangers. If they needed a hand, a smile, or even just someone to talk to he was there! He lived his life helping others. Some were intimidated by his size but he was just a big ole teddy bear.

Cody had recently began a passion for motorcycles and loved to work on his truck, he was always looking for ways to make improvements on it. He didn't always know what he was doing but he enjoyed learning along the way. He loved the smile it brought his kids when he reaved his engine, bringing joy to himself as well. He dreamed of getting a "project truck" for him and his son when he got older, so he wanted to learn everything he could mechanically to fulfill that dream. Cody also loved to cruise around with the windows down, music turned up singing along to country songs. The thing that made Cody the proudest, the happiest was his wife and kids, he strived to make them as happy and proud of him as he was of them.

The things we will miss most about Cody are his big hugs, his smile, his laugh, his joyous energy and his selflessness toward others. The world is a little darker with out his bright light. He will be terribly missed by so many.

Cody leaves behind his wife: Morgan Stepanski, children: Makayla Knight, Amery, Carter, and Ellie Hurst, parents: Jody Hurst and Gwendolyn "Wendy" Hurst, brother: Devon Hurst, sisters: Chelcie, Josi and Kailee Hurst, aunts: Kristy Fulwood, Linda McKnight, uncles: John Sterling and William Fulwood along with numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his Grandma Darlene, Grandma Pat, Aunt Sandy, Aunt Daisy and nephew Mason.

There will be a viewing for family and friends on Tuesday March 30, 2021 from 12:00 – 2:00 with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Klein Funeral Home, 14711 F.M. 1488, Magnolia. 77355
