William Henry Jackson Jr. was born May 9th 1949 in Gilmer, Texas in Upshur County. William (Frat Jack) was a shining example of kindness and compassion, with an angelic spirit that touched the lives of everyone he met. To his family and friends, he was a rock of support and love, always offering a listening ear and a comforting presence. His gentle nature and sense of humor could light up a room and make even the darkest days brighter. He was a true gem, and his passing leaves a great void in the lives of those who loved him. But his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, and the love and laughter he shared so generously.

He lived in Longview Texas with his parents Lucy Doris Jackson and William Henry Jackson Sr. He attended High School at Mary C. Womack. He went off to college at Prairie View A&M University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Williams received academic honors while in high school and college.

He was a member of the Pleasant Hill C.M.E. Church in Longview, Texas and a Life Time Member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.  William had over a 30 year career span in Information Technology where he was employed by major corporations such as NASA and IBM.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Jackson, Sr. and Lucy Doris Jackson and sister Wanda K. Jackson. Those left to cherish his memory are: Siblings; Charles and Joan Jackson(Deceased), Alma, WA; Wanda K. Jackson (Deceased), Houston, TX; John and Jean Jackson, The Woodlands, Texas; Virgil Jackson, Dallas, Texas and Dorothy Jackson (Care Giver for William) of Fort Worth, Texas; Nieces and Nephew; Jennifer E. Jackson, Brunswick, Georgia; Alexander N. Jackson, Fort Worth, Texas and Jasmine D. Jackson, Austin, Texas (Care Givers for William) and a host of other relatives and friends.
