William David Hallmark, Sr., 65, passed away Dec. 4, 2018 after a difficult battle with cancer.  Dave was born on Feb. 9, 1953 in Houston, Tx, to William Thomas and Virginia Davis Hallmark.  He was a 1971 graduate of Sam Houston High School.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Kathy Hallmark and their two sons, David Hallmark, Jr. and John Thomas Hallmark and his wife, Kendra and their children, Samantha, Sarina and John, the grandchildren who are the joy of Dave and Kathy's lives.

Dave is also survived by his sister Myrna Hallmark Lott and husband Mike, Gary Hallmark and wife Julie, Mike Hallmark and wife Cheryl along with many other family members and friends.  He was preceded in death and will be welcomed home by his older brother Tommy Hallmark.

In addition to his devotion to his family, Dave's great love was his Navy Seabee brotherhood.  He served 4 years active duty aboard the USS Nashville (LPD-13), then joined in the reserves with RNMCB 28 and retired as a Construction Electrician Se nior Chief Petty Officer from the Navy in 2005 but continued to be faithful in the Naval community throughout his life, earning and gaining many lasting and greatly valued friendships.

Dave also worked within the electrical industry and subsequently retired in 2017 after 23 years with Texas Department of Transportation.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 10th at 2:00pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main St., Tomball, Tx 77375.  Graveside service to follow at Klein Memorial Park Cemetery, 32509 TX-249, Pinehurst, Tx 77362.
