William Howard Doyle., Jr. died peacefully on January 2, 2016 at his home in Spring, Texas.

"Bill" was born May 16, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee to Howard and Lucille Doyle. After high school graduation, he left Tennessee and moved to Houston, Texas to attend Rice University where he earned an accounting degree. Bill married Barbara Anne Willis in 1958. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines before moving to Houston to begin his family. He was an executive in the financial industry prior to his retirement.

Bill's interests included stamp collecting, genealogy, and world history. He was also passionate about raising and breeding Egyptian Arabian horses.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Petteway Doyle; brothers, Joseph Cecil Doyle and James David Doyle; son, William H. Doyle, III; daughter Julie Doyle Howard and son-in-law Scott Howard; stepsons, John Petteway and Scott Petteway; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Doyle was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Anne Doyle (nee Willis) and his grandchild Colleen Lucille Doyle.
