William Glenn Deforest, 83, of Spring, TX., passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, after a progressively lengthy illness. “Bill” was born in Puyallup, Washington, on February 6, 1943, to Clarence and Leora Deforest of Kent, Washington. He had one sister, Adeline, who was born 14 yrs earlier than he.

He spent most of his youth growing up in that area, attending school, happily going through his formative years with his many cousins and friends, enjoying fishing, hunting and all the area had to offer. He worked side by side with his very wonderfully instructive father, in a feed store owned by his parents for many years, learning all the values of leading a life of good, hard-working ethics.

He enlisted in the US Navy in 1964 in the branch of Naval Aviation and served for 21 years as a Machinist Mate and Aircraft Mechanic. He received an Aircraft and Powerplant Degree from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University along the way. He served three tours of duty in Vietnam, traveled and lived all over the world, including Whidbey Island, Washington, Memphis, Tennessee, Rota, Spain, Yuma, Arizona, Guam Island and Corpus Christi, Texas.

Bill married and had two children, a son, Jeff and a daughter, Tamara. They were his pride and joy!

Years later, after having gone through divorce, he met the love of his life, Nancy, in 1985, married in 1987, and shared a wonderful marriage for almost 39 years. Their loving, blended family consisted of Tamara, Jeff, Tim and Tod. As they grew and matured, he was gifted with five grandchildren: Eric, Maddie, Morgan, McKena, and Savannah, whom he adored!

On December 12, 2024, He and Nancy were blessed with their first Great-Granddaughter, Sophia, born on their 37th Wedding Anniversary. She is the child of Grandson, Eric and wife Jennifer Law. The entire family is amused and captured by her amazing personality!

Bill was the most loving, devoted Husband and Father, pillar of strength, knowledge, reliability, and compassion…a friend to all he met, as well as being such a fun-loving guy. He had a sense of humor enjoyed by everyone. He will be missed tremendously! Rest in Peace and be with the Lord forever!
