William B. Calvert , 85, of Houston, passed away May 12, 2017. He was born June 20, 1931, in Ranger, Texas to the late Raymond and Midred Calvert.

He served 4 years in the Air Force during the Korean War. Once he returned he received his Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas Tech University. William then went on to work for Phillips Petroleum Co. in numerous states.  His passion was playing golf which he did until the last year of his life.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn; daughters, Laurie Calvert and Carla Ragan and husband Marcus.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, May 16th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home Champion Forest.  Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 17th at 2:00 at Lakewood United Methodist Church, Pastor Joe Fort officiating. A Private family burial will take place before the service.
