Obituary

On the morning of July 31st, 2019, William Carlton Brooks (Bill) passed away at the age of 70 after a long battle with heart disease. Born in Miami, FL on October 12th, 1948, he survived by his mother, Ladonna Grubbs; siblings, Blanchard L. (Sheri) Brooks, Amos W. (Kathy) Brooks; beloved daughter, Sheri-Ann (Michael) Johnson and step-daughter, Tina (Roger) Fletcher. Bill will also be remembered by his four grandchildren, Chelsea, Bryce, Brittney and Kylie; two great-grandchildren, Asher and Easton; many nieces, nephews, friends and his best friend Coco.

Bill was a sergeant in the United States Air Force, an entrepreneur in wall covering construction, and earned many awards and accolades for his role as a national salesman in the tobacco and candy industry. However, his real passion was for fishing. He was known as the saltiest dog of the sea and live by the motto "shut up and fish!"

My dad will be passionately missed by all, especially by me, his loving daughter, Sheri.

Following the memorial, a Celebration of Life will be held at Bill's home, 22510 Red Wing Trl, Tomball, TX 77375
