William (Bill) David Ast, 56, passed away July 16, 2025.
Bill was born 8/8/1968 in Denver, Colorado.

His father, David Gordon Ast, went before him.
He is survived by his mother, Sandra Irene Ast and his sister, Debbi K Ast.

Bill was recognized with ability to do schoolwork especially math grades ahead of his age. He had a fantastic memory and refreshing, direct communication. Bill, often shy,, would suddenly surprise and delight by telling stories with appropriate pauses and drama engaging the listener whatever the subject. He was an avid and competitive sportsman accumulating a room full of trophies for his efforts. Bill was compassionate and protective of kids and people less fortunate. He had a keen interest in history and politics completing an Associates Degree at North Harris College He always fought to get better. Often misunderstood, he was a gentle giant with a sweet smile, child like innocence and endearing qualities that won over the hearts of many.

He is deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.
