William "Bill" Anton Goodoff
Bill Goodoff of Tomball, Texas, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022. He was born April 17, 1945, in Rockford, Illinois, and grew up in Loves Park, Illinois. He served in the Air Force from 1965 to 1969 and returned home to attend the University of Arizona, where he obtained his master's degree in archeology. He married his wife, Lynne (née Giardini), in 1973, and they later moved to Texas. He earned an additional master's degree in information technology and worked in that field until retirement.
Bill had a deep love for God and demonstrated this with his service in the Salem Lutheran Church Kenya mission outreach and in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He was proud of his Lithuanian roots and enjoyed several trips to visit his ancestral homeland. He never met a stranger and enjoyed talking to one and all. After his Air Force stint in Turkey, he found that he enjoyed travelling the world, and he was able to stand on all seven continents. He proudly flew the Cubs flag on Antarctica.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Goodoff (Gatautis) and Ann Goodoff (née Dambrauskus), and his sister, Patricia Tangorra. He is survived by his wife, Lynne, son Frank (Erica) Goodoff, daughter Kristina (Jason) Lozano, and grandchildren Job, Anthony, and Violet.
Celebration of Life will be at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, The Woodlands, on May 14, 2022, at 2:00 PM.
