William Ray Roland, 93, passed from this life on April 13, 2024 in Magnolia, TX. He was born on August 11, 1930 in Magnolia, TX to the late John and Gertrude Roland.

William, affectionately known as Bill, served in the Marines during the Korean War. After his time in the service was over, he then worked for the Harris County Flood Control for 25 years. After his time there, he worked for Klein School District. He retired from Klein School and started enjoying his retirement. Much of Bill's retirement included doing things that he loved most which was being outdoors; such as, deer hunting, fishing and most of all gardening. He lived a long and happy life and will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Joyce Lavern Roland; step-children, Lance Taylor, Ginger Cook and husband Ryan Cook, and Link Taylor; sister in laws, Joyce Henry Roland, Margie Gregory and Peggy Kieke and husband Murry Kieke; nieces, Iris Wolf Bruce, Ellen Robeck and husband Carl Robeck; several great nephews; one great niece and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Cliflon Roland; and sisters, Ruby McDonald, Rayburn Roland, Claudia Wolf and his twin sister Lela May Pearcy.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home-Tomball. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 10:00 am at Klein Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oklahoma Community Cemetery in Magnolia, TX.
