Wayne "Bud" Clark, 78, of Magnolia, TX, passed away January 21, 2025. He was born December 23, 1946, in Winchester, VA to the late Floyd and Catherine Clark.
Bud grew up in Paterson, New Jersey and graduated from Eastside High School. After getting out of the NAVY in 1967 Bud and Lynda got married in 1968 and started their family in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. In 1980, they moved to Texas so he could pursue a job in the booming oil patch. Raising his family in Cypress, Bud played tennis and enjoyed crawfish boils & cookouts with friends and family. The family was involved with their church at Christ the Redeemer and Bud built his career at Baker Hughes, Compaq and HP doing Inventory Control. In 2006 they moved to Magnolia to enjoy country living.
Bud was a tireless patriot and loving husband & father. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed teaching his kids and grandkids how to hunt and fish. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lynda Clark; daughter Renee' Hollek and husband Mike. Son Ryan Clark and wife Stephanie. Grandchildren Austin & Melanie Hollek, Kaitlyn & Austin Knight, Jacob Clark, William and Alyssa Clark, Andrew Clark, Sophia Joy Clark, and Samuel Clark. Great grandchildren Hallie Knight and Jane Clark. Sisters-in-law Cathy Solt & Valerie Clark, Brother-in-law Bill Pirone in addition to 37 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Floyd and Catherine Clark, sister Barbara Pirone, brother Rusty Clark, brother-in-law Neil Solt, father-in-law Stephen Penna, mother-in-law Edith Penna and nephew Billy Pirone Jr.
The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 8:45am to 9:30am at Klein Funeral Home 1400 Main St, Tomball, Texas 77375. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, immediately following the visitation, at 9:30 AM at Klein Funeral Home, with Pastor Billy Montgomery officiating. Interment to follow in Houston National Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
Serving as pallbearers are Austin Hollek, Jacob Clark, William Clark, Andrew Clark, Andrew Middleton, Stephen Solt and Samuel Clark.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project.
