Wayne Edwin Benfer, 78, entered his eternal home on May 13, 2026. He was born August 16, 1947 to Edwin and Velora Kleb Benfer. He spent his childhood working alongside his dad and brother on the farm and being an active member of the FFA program. After graduating from Klein High School in 1965, he continued working on his family farm in Klein, Texas. He married the love of his life, Donna, in 1971. A few years later they welcomed their daughter, Amy. Wayne spent the majority of his life farming vegetables and raising cattle. He served many years on the Farmer's Marketing Association Board as well as the Member's Trust Credit Union Board (formerly the Milk Producer's Credit Union). He led a life of service, never hesitating to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. He found his joy working in the fields and tending his cattle, but his greatest joy was his grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Amy Vann and husband Glenn; grandchildren Kelsie and Kamren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley Benfer, Brenda and Reggie Thomson, Carol and David Powell, Gary and Sloan Crofford; cousin-in-law and gambling partner, Barbara Benfer; and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Wayne is preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Donna Benfer; parents  Edwin and Velora Kleb Benfer; brother Arthur Lee Benfer; parents-in-law Elbert and Jeanne Crofford; and brother-in-law, Tyson Birdwell.
