Robert "Wayne" Bailey

August 21, 1943 – January 1, 2021

Robert "Wayne" Bailey, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Wayne was born to J.D. and Hazel Wilson Bailey in Pasadena, Texas on August 21, 1943. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sue Kirby and Sharon Kay Bailey-Igei. He is survived by his loving devoted wife of thirty-three years, Loretta Bailey, his daughter Sheryl Bailey McAndrew, his son Mark Bailey and wife Dayna, stepsons William and Mark Cagle, and his brothers David and Billy Bailey. He has four grandchildren, Reven Bodily, Alexa McAndrew, Kelsey and Kenzie Bailey, and his great-grand daughter Gwendolyn Bodily. He is also survived by numerous family, friends and coworkers.

Wayne was a generous and compassionate man giving to anyone that was less fortunate or in need of assistance. He was an active member of several charitable organizations including the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Association, volunteering during the annual event. He also belonged to the International Texas Longhorn Association and East Texas Cocker Spaniel Rescue.

He was an active outdoorsman enjoying fishing and skiing on Lake Conroe at League Line, coaching his son's North Houston National Little League team, and the game of golf. Wayne was a longtime fan of the Houston Oilers and ultimately the Houston Texans that gave him a considerable amount of grief, at least once a week during the season.

Wayne retired from Texas Commerce Bank-Airline after twenty-two years of loyal service where he started in 1962 as a bank teller then advanced throughout his career ultimately achieving the position of vice president of the branch.

After his retirement, Wayne began a new career as a cattle rancher, breeding a small herd of registered Longhorn cattle. He and his wife Loretta enjoyed attending Longhorn auctions throughout the state of Texas.

Private Funeral services for Immediate Family will be held at Klein Funeral Home - Magnolia -The Woodlands on Thursday, January 7, 2021.
