Our hearts are in pieces as The Lord has called Ward E. Reynolds to Heaven. Ward passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 25, 2021.

Ward was born a 6 ^th generation Californian and spent his early childhood in Los Angeles where he fell in love with the ocean.  He liked pools but the wide open spaces of the beach afforded him to roam free. Another favoriite place was Knott's Berry Farm where he could play Gunslinger which evidently sparked a life long interest in weaponry.  He was the number one spectator of beach volleyball in Manhattan Beach, CA.

The family moved to Daytona Beach and he lived within a block of those open spaces of the beach. After a stint in Coral Springs Florida the family moved to San Antonio, where Ward absorbed the Texas culture. The next move was to the Woodlands in 1978, which became Wards forever hometown.

With his adventurous spirit, Ward enjoyed traveling as a youth.  His travels included West coast from San Diego up the coast to Port Angeles, Washington where he helped work his family members' nursery and flower shop, just a 30-minute ferry boat ride to Vancouver, British Columbia. Ward fell in love with that rugged natural countryside, which afforded river rafting and hiking.  Ward also traveled up and down the East Coast from Key West to Cape Cod where additional members of Wards extended family resided.  A very special and exciting trip for him was spending Christmastime in and around Mexico City where his Grandparents lived.  Ward enjoyed climbing up and down repeatedly the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon at Teotihuacan, and visiting the Basilica of our Lady of Guadalupe.

Ward's first job was waitstaff at Champions Golf Club in Houston.  He joined the Marine Corps in 1982 and became a proud Marine at Camp Pendleton being awarded the Marine Corps Expert Rifle Designation.  Ward was the top shooter in the Marines 1 ^st battalion 5 ^th Marines.

In 1991 he had a beautiful daughter Camille Diane Reynolds. Ward so enjoyed being a Dad, and he and Camille spent many great moments together at home, Disneyland, and at the family condo at Lake Conroe  boating, swimming, and jet skiing.

He worked for Coors for a few years then moved on to construction until he landed a job with Reverse Mortgage Solutions as an asset manager, where he met the love of his life Jennifer Reese.  His last employment was a contract specialist at AmeriStar Realtors working alongside his Mother, Jennifer and the rest of his business family.

Jennifer related, "Ward and I were work friends and lunch buddies. We became close over the years while working together and eventually began to date. When my mother passed away, Ward stepped up and really showed me how much he cared, he ran interference, took care of me, and grieved with me. That's when I knew he was my life partner.

Being that we're in hurricane season, I'm reminded of how he was always prepping our house and Cheri's to make sure if disaster strikes, we'd be comfortable and ready to handle whatever came our way. He was always so proud of himself when those times arose, and all of his efforts were realized. He made sure I knew...."you see what I did here?  see how this works? how lucky are you to have a man like me.? I saved you from a life of debauchery. "

I want to thank Ward for being such a good friend to my Uncle Jimmy who also loved him so much. Uncle Jimmy thought of himself as my protector after my father passed away and was happy to turn over the reins to such a worthy man.

I believe Ward always knew that he would go on before me. I know now he is in heaven and once again 'prepping' a place for me and for us to be comfortable."

Throughout all sectors of Wards employment, his coworkers would describe him as "enigmatic",  "he completely lights up the room",  "he is such a charmer", "personality just oozes from him", "he knows Everything… from world history, to current events, to astronomy where the constellations are located, to the details of every single war ever fought."  One coworker asked Ward, "How do you know so much?" and he answered, "As soon as I could read my Mom made me read the front page of the newspaper and 'all continued items'."  Whether he was in construction or administration, people would describe him as a perfectionist.

Ward was a man of faith, always chivalrous, a kind and caring man with a tough exterior, a wonderful son and father, and a true American Patriot.  As Jennifer says, "He was a Hell of a Man."

The week prior to his sudden death, as one of his last acts of concern for his Mothers' health and well-being, he and Jennifer made an offer on a house in Daytona Beach next door to his Mom's vacation home. Ward was planning to put a gate to connect the yards to go right through to the pool and her home, and be in walking distance to the beach once again, looking to create new experiences and memories together. The Lord intervened and Ward received the Call from which he won't return. May eternal light shine upon his soul.

Ward is survived by his wife Jennifer Reese of The Woodlands, his daughter Camille Diane of Montgomery, his Mother Cheri Reynolds of Houston, his Father Thomas Reynolds of The Woodlands, Aunt "Dee" Donelle Rice of Los Angeles, Aunt and Uncle Valerie and Ron Gregerson of San Diego, loving cousins, extended family, and lifelong best friend Eric Mann of The Woodlands.
