Wanda S Ballard's Obituary
Wanda Sue Nesmith was born in Madisonville, Texas on October 17, 1948. She attended Brazos High School in Freeport, Texas. In 1967, she attended Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She married David Emory Ballard on January 18, 1969, in Biloxi, Mississippi, where David was stationed with the Air Force. They enjoyed 49 years of life side-by-side raising two children and later building a successful business. Wanda extended her academic endeavors when she attended Texas A&M University in 1983. Wanda loved flowers, getting her hair and nails done, and going to her favorite Mexican food restaurant in Tomball, Texas. She dedicated her golden years to spending time with and loving her three granddaughters and great-grandson. Wanda loved life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, David Emory Ballard; her daughter, Julia Elaine Ballard Marcantel and husband, John Michael Marcantel; her son, John-Paul Brent Ballard and wife, Rebecca Kathleen Gross Ballard; her grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Marcantel, Audrey Kathleen Ballard, and Darby Ellen Ballard; her great-grandson, Landon Ryan Hurst; her mother, Beatrice Crouch Nesmith; her sisters, Barbara Nesmith Davis and Debbie Nesmith; and numerous other family members and friends.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, December 3, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 4, at Bedias Baptist Cemetery located on FM 2620 in Bedias, TX. Following the graveside service, a reception will be held at the Bedias Civic Center.
