Walter "Walt" Clinton Wilson, lovingly known as "Mister", passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021 surrounded by his family.

Walt, of Houston, Texas, was born on October 10, 1942, the middle son to his parents Alver Donaldson Wilson and Helen Marie Spicer Wilson at Park View Hospital in Houston, Texas.  When of age, Walt enlisted in the United States Army, where he served our country as an Expert Marksman stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.

After his service, Walt returned to Houston to pursue his education in business. He then began his career at NASA where he was one of the contributors to the development of the Astronaut Flight Manual. He later transitioned from NASA to the oil and gas industry, starting anew at Exxon. His keen eye for detail served him well over his career, and he retired at the age of 67 from Paragon Engineering.

Although Walt's career was one of his greatest achievements, Walt's true passion was his family. He was a gentle, loving and caring man; a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Walt always considered his most prized accomplishment to be raising his daughter, Julie, and his son, Danny, alongside the love of his life, Susan. His unconditional love for his children continued with his four grandchildren, and he never missed a dance recital, cheerleading competition, football game, softball game, baseball game or soccer game, even after 36 holes of golf on a Saturday!

Walt  was an avid golfer, a passion he passed on to and shared with his children and many friends. Over his golfing years, Walt made FIVE "holes in one", an accomplishment that few ever achieve.

Walt was loved by all those he encountered, from his children's friends to co-workers and even complete strangers. He made everyone laugh and was always trying to pull off a prank of some sort. Many have said they will remember him by the smell of his pipe and the "Special No. 1" tobacco he smoked.

Walt is survived by his adoring wife of 36 years, Susan Robertson Wilson.  Walt and Susan's marriage began with raising two children,
however, they always made time to enjoy dinner with friends and family.  When their two beloved children were off to school to start lives of their own, Walt and Susan continued to fall in love and spent their time traveling and entertaining with life-long friends.  Their favorite evening activity, until Walt's last day, was enjoying having a glass of wine on their back patio while enjoying the view of the golf course, and of course, each other.

Walt is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Eric "Ric" Kiersh, Jr. and their daughters, Kenli and Marielle; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel "Danny" and Korie Robertson, their son Jaxon and daughter Beckett, and numerous friends. .

Walt's memorial service will be held on April 1, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home at 1400 W Main Street in Tomball, TX. It is the perfect day to celebrate Walt as he loved a good joke!

Following the memorial service, a celebration of life will be held to honor this
great man, with more details will be provided at the service.

The family asks that those who are interested in making a donation in Walt's honor, do so to the LVAD program. Walt was the recipient of a LVAD (left ventricular assist device), and this program assists those that need assistance with the LVAD procedure.
