Walter John Stiefer, Sr., 73, of Montgomery, passed away February 18, 2017. He was born August 30, 1943, in Houston to the late Lester Lee Roy Stiefer and Emma Margaret Rodgers Stiefer.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Stiefer; sons, Wayne Lee Arnold Stiefer and wife Mary, Christopher John Stiefer, Walter John Stiefer and wife Heather, Michael McNamee; daughters Kathleen McNamee, Michelle Sargent and Kelly Lazarus and husband Paul; brothers, Lee Arnold "Bud" Stiefer and Jerald Douglas Stiefer; sisters, Anne Marie Huff and Erma Beatrice Johns; 9 Grandchildren.

Including his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Lee Roy Stiefer; sister, Mary Elizabeth Moore; brothers, Thomas Roy Stiefer, Charles Ray Stiefer, Lawrence Alan Woodward and Omar William Stiefer.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX  77355.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 am at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX  77355. Interment to follow at Klein Memorial Park
