Walter Ward "Buck" Sanders, 82, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Buck was born on March 5, 1944 in Alpena, Arkansas and spent his life as a long-practicing oil and gas attorney. He was known above all for his quiet strength, thoughtful nature, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He had a passion for music and love for history, and was widely respected for his knowledge, integrity, and steady judgment.

Buck is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and their sons Donovan and Dylan. He leaves behind extended family and friends who will miss him deeply and carry forward his legacy. Buck will be remembered for his kindness, his steady guidance, and the dignity with which he lived his life.
