Walter Paul Guillot, age 61, died unexpectedly on December 21, 2020 at his home in Spring, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter J. and Marilyn Guillot of Chalmette, Louisiana and his sister, Marilyn "Missy" D'Aunoy. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Valerie Panvelle Guillot, son, Walter J. Guillot and grandson, Walter I. Guillot; his brother, Craig Guillot and his wife Lillian; sister Laurie and husband Ray Conard; nieces, Danielle Brady and Nicole Kester and husband Matt; nephews, David Chavez and Art Chavez; and Ray ("RJ") Conard.
Walter started his career as a roustabout in a pipe yard at age 18, with a career that rose through the ranks to Superintendent on the North Slope of Alaska. He's worked all over the world from Venezuela to Egypt and US land and deepwater rigs. Walter was always willing to offer help or provide assistance when needed, or offer expert opinion and direction to anyone.
When Walter was not chasing down drilling rigs, he had a passion for woodworking and lighting up the night sky with a massive fireworks display for friends and neighbors.
