Obituary

Wallace "Wally" Ambrose Dworaczyk, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and "GFW", passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife and three children on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

Wally was born on October 2, 1947, to Ambrose and Rosie Dworaczyk. He was the oldest of eleven children. After high school Wally attended St. Louis University and met the love of his life, Elaine Clippard.

Wally married his "earth angel" on August 21, 1971, and they were blessed to be married for 50 years.

As a young man he learned to work hard and to take on whatever job was available to support himself. He was an early entrepreneur and ran a remarkably successful small business. But what mattered most in his life was his family. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a man who would give beyond his means.

Wally was a vibrant, loving, selfless man. He had an amazingly beautiful and big heart full of love for his wife, his kids, his siblings, and especially a unique love for each and every one of his grandchildren. His energy filled a room, and his smile was contagious every time he made a joke. His presence was comforting, and he made people feel safe. He was the shaving cream monster, the giver of fruit roll-ups and popsicles, the back scratcher, the well-spoken, sharply dressed man who never had a hair out of place. He was hard-working, selfless and made sure that his family was always taken care of.

The best of Wally came out when he was with his family, whether it be taking the grandchildren to Baskin-Robbins after school or sitting around the dinner table after a meal reminiscing. Even in his more serious moments, he had others in mind and was kind. Wally reminded us to be good so we didn't get "spanyokies" in our stockings at Christmas, and that cowgirls don't cry. He taught us not to let others steal our joy and carpe diem. He will forever be in the memories of his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elaine (Clippard) Dworaczyk; his children, Amy and husband, Steven; Zach and wife, Brandy; Leah and husband, JJ; his 11 grandchildren, Rose, Jessica, Ava and Truitt Stuewe; Shannon, Elijah, Aubrey and Ally Dworaczyk; John (J), Isaac, and Wallace Joern
