Wallace Perry, loving husband, devoted father, and proud grandfather went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the age of eighty-five. Wallace was born on August 16, 1936, to Guss and Thelma Perry in Genoa, West Virginia.

On August 17,1958, he married the love of his life, Doris Chafin. They were married for sixty-four wonderful years and had three children: Pam (Steve) Erickson, Jamie (Randy) Pokorny and Jennifer (Eddie) O'Neal. Doris and Wallace loved to travel and had many fun vacations.

Wallace was a Sunday School teacher and deacon at Champion Forest Baptist Church for many years. He was faithful to his class, The Shiners. He served in many ministries in the church. Wallace's life was dedicated to serving the Lord and reaching others for Christ. He acted out his faith and it had an impact on his family and others.

Wallace loved to play golf, softball, and fish. He loved cars, especially trading them! He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He made sure his grandchildren knew they were special and loved. He could be found cheering them on at games on many Saturdays.

Wallace worked in sales and real estate. He was with Coldwell Banker for thirty years, in sales and management. He loved his work and thrived on the challenges and rewards it brought him.

Wallace was very well respected. He had a magnetic personality and loved serving others. If you knew him, you loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris, three children (Pam Erickson, Jamie Pokorny and Jennifer O'Neal), five grandchildren (Jamie Moyer, Jacob Erickson, David Pokorny, Chad Pokorny and Austin O'Neal) and eleven great grandchildren (Jaxson, Shelby and Chloe Moyer; Graham, Claire, Blake and Jane Pokorny; Ellie and Elias Erickson and Max and Mila Pokorny).

A celebration of Wallace's life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Champion Forest Baptist Church, with viewing on Friday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Klein Memorial Funeral Home at 16131 Champion Forest Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Champion Forest Baptist Scholarship Fund for Camp.
