Wades Earl (W.E.) Karl, Jr. of Tomball, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born on March 17, 1931 in Yoakum, Texas to Mattie and W.E. Karl, Sr.
He spent two years in the Army during the Korean War. His entire professional career was with Southern Pacific Railroad.
He was married to his wife, Verna, for 60 years, together raising three children. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family meant everything to him and there was nothing that he would not do for them. He was also devoted to his faith and an active member of his church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mattie and W.E.Karl, Sr., his brother Harley Karl, and sisters Minnie Williams, Billie Johnson, and Gaynell Collie. He is survived by his wife Verna, his sons Scott Karl, Mark Karl and his wife Tricia, and daughter Vonda Riley and her husband Richard, five grandchildren Charity Seals, Christiana Sinclair, Trena Montgomery, Douglas Moulder and Daniel Moulder and six great grandchildren.
W.E.'s family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball, TX 77375. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball, TX 77375, to be immediately followed by a committal service at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
