Virginia Ann Orts Loewen, 81, of Cypress, passed away on December 10.  She was born on June 27, 1943, in Gainesville, Florida to the late Edwin Orts and Bertha "Betty" (Nowotnik) Orts.

She is survived by her daughter, Dana Williams; her son, Steven Loewen; her grandchildren, Jared Williams and special friend Tristan Thompson, Madelyn Eudy and husband Bryce Eudy; her great grandchildren, Alexa Williams and Colt Eudy; her brother, Douglas Orts and wife Sharon Orts; her sister, Cindy Hagan and husband Robert Hagan; her brother-in-law, Wesley Loewen; her step children, Jim Mohr and wife Cherrie, Julie Mohr, Jeff Mohr and Rhonda Mohr; her step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other beloved family and friends.

Including her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Loewen; her late husband, Russell Mohr; her father-in-law, Sidney Loewen; her mother-in-law, Irene Loewen; and her nephew, Wesley "Bubba" Loewen Jr.

Virginia met Larry Loewen through St. Mark's Lutheran Church and they were united in marriage on June 17, 1961. They were happily married for 53 years, sharing a life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. After Larry's passing, Virginia met Russell Mohr in 2017. After Virginia visited Russ in Iowa a few times they knew they belonged together. Russ and Virginia were married April 14, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church in Cypress, Texas. They made wonderful memories in the short time they were married before Russell passed away in 2020.

Virginia was a committed and loving follower of Christ, whose faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was baptized on August 15, 1943 at Lutheran Ebenezer Church at Manheim, Texas and confirmed on June 9, 1957 at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas. Virginia served on the Altar Guild for 35 years at St. John Lutheran Church.

She was a dedicated wife and mother, whose homemaking was a testament to her love and devotion to her family. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, baking and she had a knack for decorating. She worked at Hancock Fabrics for approximately 5 years in the 70's-80's and was a great seamstress.

The family will receive visitors Monday, December 16th, from 5pm to 8pm at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main Street, Tomball, Texas 77375. Additional visitation will be held at St. John Lutheran Church, 15235 Spring Cypress Road, Cypress, Texas 77429 on Tuesday, December 17th. from 10am to 11am followed by Funeral Services with Reverend David Bahn officiating. Interment to follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX 77079.

Serving as pallbearers are Jared Williams, Dennis Orts, Ryan Mohr, Doug Olberding, Douglas Schmidt, Bryan Schmidt, Dave Mangan, and Bobby Goerner. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Blake, Glen Schmidt, Allen Schmidt.
