Virginia Ellen McQueen Hohmann Groda, 92, passed from this life on January 4, 2024, in Spring, TX. She was born to Clifton and Ella McQueen on July 1, 1931, in Houston, TX.

Virginia, Ginny to most, had a huge heart for her friends and family and cherished every opportunity to spend time with them. Virginia was a life-long member of Salem Lutheran Church. She married M.C. Hohmann in 1950 and was widowed after 40 wonderful years together. They moved to Magnolia, TX. In 1983. Virginia married Wiliam "Bill" Groda in 2002 and enjoyed life together for 13 years.

Virginia, Ginny, Mama, Aunt Ginny, Grandma HoHo, GiGi. She was called many names by those who knew and loved her throughout her life. All who knew her loved her. She was the first to laugh or giggle, always ready to go somewhere and see somebody, always ready to sing and dance and wore an indelible smile on her face.

Those left to cherish her memories are her loving son, Martin Hohmann III and wife Sheli; Grandchildren, Martin Allen Hohmann, Amber Michelle Hohmann, Erin Hohmann Smith and Husband Collin Patrick Smith; Great-Grandchildren, Casen Alexander Smith and Eastyn Renee Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifton L. and Ella Schiel McQueen; first husband, Martin "M.C". Hohmann Jr. and second husband, William "Bill" Groda

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024, from 10:00 am 11:00 am at Salem Lutheran Church -Tomball with a funeral service to immediately start at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Decker Prairie Cemetery in Magnolia, TX. Followed by a reception at Salem Lutheran Church.
