Virginia Dare Reich went peacefully to be with her Lord & Savior on the morning of Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the age of 75.

Virginia was born in Daisetta, Texas on April 4, 1947 to Juanita & Arnold Tywater. She had 7 siblings (3 sisters and 4 brothers). She was raised in Dallas and became a life-long resident of Irving, TX.

A graduate of Irving High School, Virginia married Elgin Reich on February 18, 1967. Together they had two children, Darla Kay and Paul Duane.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Villages on MacArthur in Irving, TX, the ER physicians and staff at Houston Methodist Willowbrook, Houston EMTs and transport, as well as the caregivers with Heart to Heart Hospice in Houston, TX. Each of these caregivers provided care and compassion not only for her, but also for the rest of the family during her final days with us.

Virginia was known to family, friends, and neighbors as "Mom" simply because of her giving attitude and her treating everyone as if they were one of her own children. She continuously put others' needs before her own, making sure that when anyone had a need, they were provided for to the best of her ability. She was a loving and caring wife to her husband, mother to her children, "Gammy" to her grandchildren, and "mom" to all.

She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and feeding the squirrels in her backyard by hand.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Elgin Reich, of 55 years.

She is lovingly remembered by: her daughter and son-in-law, Darla & Cliff Beck of Houston, TX; her son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Tricia Reich of Haslet, TX; her "grand-babies" Raeka Porto & Colton Porto of Houston, TX and Jenna Reich & Camdyn Reich of Haslet, TX. She is also remembered by her brother Wayne Tywater, and sisters Susie Hemrick and Betty Jean Demarchus. She is predeceased by her sister Francis Tribble, and brothers Donald Tywater, Lynn Tywater, and Glen Tywater.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 7 ^th @ 11:30 am in the Chapel at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Steubner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069. A small reception will follow the service.

Interment will take place at the Houston National Cemetery.
