Virgil Kenneth Gooding, 82, of Houston, TX, died Thursday, September 23, 2021. Kenneth was born May 23, 1939, in Adams County, Illinois.  Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Ruth Gooding and brother Claude Gooding.

Kenneth married Ruth Rhodes on October 22, 1976 and they lived in Houston until his passing.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Ruth, two children, Lisa (Michael) Carney and Charles (Brandi) Gooding, three grandchildren, Daghen, Camryn and Paxton, all from the Houston area, and one sister, Marie Micheletti, in Illinois and many, many friends near and far.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home – CyFair, 9719 Wortham Blvd, Houston, TX 77065. It will be immediately preceded by a Visitation at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.  For those who wish to also attend Interment, it will occur at approximately 4:00 p.m. at the Waller Cemetery, 19035 Stokes Road, Waller, TX 77484.
