Viola Erma Scallan, 92, of The Woodlands, TX, passed from this life on May 20, 2026. She was born on February 12, 1934, to Erma Mathes Ramsey and Grady Louis Ramsey, in Waller, TX.
Viola Erma Scallon, lovingly known as "Grams" to those who adored her, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She lived a life centered on caring for others, creating beauty and making every person around her feel at home.
She was born in Waller and resided in La Grange, Texas, Viola later moved to The Woodlands in the 1990's, where she continued building a life full of love, laughter and family traditions. She had a special gift for making holidays magical. Whether through home-cooked meals, thoughtful decorations, or simply bringing everyone together she made every gathering feel warm and unforgettable.
Viola enjoyed painting, gardening, fishing, and spending time with the people she loved most. She found joy in simple moments outdoors, tending to her flowers and vegetables, casting a fishing line, or creating something beautiful with her hands. Her home was always open, and she spent much of her life taking care of everyone around her with quiet strength and unconditional love.
More than anything, Viola will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her resilience, and the comfort she brought to so many lives. She leaves behind Cherished memories, family traditions, and a legacy of love that will continue throughout the generations she helped shape.
Those left to cherish her memories are: Her daughters Sherry Qualls, Linda Qualls, and her son Gerry Scallan. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grand children
She was preceded in death by: Her loving parents Erma and Grady Ramsey, her husband Ferdinand Scallan, and her son's Drew Scallan, and Wayne Scallan.
Visitation is scheduled May 28, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00pm, at Klein Funeral Home,1400 W. Main Street, Tomball, Texas, 77375.
