Obituary

Vincent Joseph Soebbing, beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2026, surrounded by his family, following a long battle with multiple health issues. Vincent Joseph Soebbing was born on October 22, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Marcel V. Soebbing and Pauline B. (Rees) Soebbing.

Vince grew up in Kansas City and graduated from Rockhurst High School with the Class of 1955. Following graduation, he attended Rockhurst College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing and a minor in Economics in 1960.

Following college, Vince was united in marriage to Janice Helen Bromert on July 2, 1960, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ottawa, Kansas. Together, they shared over sixty-six wonderful years of marriage.

Vince cherished the many roles he held throughout his life. He was a loving husband and proud father of five children, grandfather of eleven grandchildren, and great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren. Vince never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, even at the grocery store. He and his wife made their home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, for over five decades. He loved spending time with his family at their family timeshare in Branson, Missouri. Vince and Janice also shared a love for cruising and traveling the world, having enjoyed more than twenty Princess Cruises together. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading The Wall Street Journal and the Bartlesville Examiner, and dabbling in the stock market.

Vince was employed by Phillips 66 Petroleum, later known as ConocoPhillips, for thirty-nine years, serving as a Senior Credit Analyst. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, and St. John and St. James Catholic Churches in Bartlesville.

Vince is survived by his loving wife, Jan Soebbing; his son, Kevin Soebbing and wife, Milagros, and daughter, Michelle Soebbing, all of Houston, Texas; his son, John Soebbing and wife, Rebecca, of Denver, Colorado; his daughter, Linda Cuaderes and husband, Eduardo, of Dallas, Texas, and their children, Julia Weimer of London, Jenny Bowring of Dallas, Texas, and James Cuaderes of San Francisco, California; his daughter, Dana Crawford and husband, Bill, of Hockley, Texas, and their children, Kelsey Schroeder of Magnolia, Texas, Christopher Crawford of Tomball, Texas, and Victoria Crawford and Clayton Crawford, both of Hockley, Texas; and his son, Dr. Charles Soebbing and wife, Jennifer, of Wichita, Kansas, and their children, Dr. Ashley Lesser of Chicago, Illinois, Dylan Lessor of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Aubrey Soebbing of Wichita, Kansas.

Vince is also survived by his four great-grandchildren, Charlie Weimer, Stetson Schroeder, Presley Schroeder, and Harper Bowring; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, Marcel and Pauline Soebbing; his stepmother, Estelle Soebbing; and his sister, Barbara Ann Congdon.

Vince will be deeply missed and forever fondly remembered in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

The family is currently coordinating funeral services with St. Anne Catholic Church in Tomball, Texas. Service details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized. Please check back for updates.
