Mr. Victor Eugene Moore, Jr. passed away at the age of 90 on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Houston, Texas.

The son of Victor (Sr.) and Louise Moore, Victor was born on June 27, 1927 in Roanoke, Alabama and raised in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he first acquired what would develop into a life-long love for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team.

Married on April 5, 1953 to his loving and doting wife, Nancy E. Moore, the family lived in Southern California for nearly 25 years before moving to Midland, Texas in 1977, where they lived for more than 30 years prior to a final relocation to the Cypress, Texas area.

A man of significant accomplishment and success throughout his personal and professional life, Victor was an Eagle Scout, an honorably discharged World War II veteran of the United States Navy, and a lead member of the renowned Saturn V Project engineering team that was responsible for putting the first humans on the moon.

Despite his numerous past achievements in the business world, Victor was an entrepreneur at heart and finally reached his dream of working for himself as a multi-unit McDonald's restaurant owner-operator before his eventual retirement. During retirement, Victor enjoyed reading, and following sports, politics, and the financial markets.  He particularly loved family gatherings, and especially enjoyed sharing stories with his grandchildren about his childhood outdoor experiences and adventures.

A devout Catholic who possessed a deep faith and love for his religion, Victor was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Houston, and supported a multitude of charitable organizations including American Life League and National Pro-Life Alliance.

Preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Victor is survived by his five children, Mary E. Moore of Conroe, TX; Victor E. Moore III of Houston; Patrick T. Moore and wife Rene of Bartlesville, OK; Geri A. Moore of Houston; Timothy G. Moore and wife Amie of Longview, TX; six grandchildren, Erin Bowman, Josh Moore, Joseph Moore, Kasey Moore, Daniel Moore, and Sarah Moore; and his niece, Laurie Camp.

The family will be receiving visitors at 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary following at 7:00 p.m., on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at Klein Funeral Home, 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister, Houston, TX 77065 with the Rev. Sean Horrigan officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
