Victor Lee Baney died on Friday June 2, 2017 in The Woodlands, TX at the age of 81.  Vic is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marilyn, his daughter, Jennifer, and her husband, James. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Elsie Baney, and his brother, Bill.

Vic was born in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Vic graduated from Valparaiso Technical Institute in Indiana and started his 40-year career with Motorola Communications in Chicago shortly thereafter. He and Marilyn moved to Texas in 1963.  Vic had a life long love of electronics. From repairing neighbors' tube television sets in high school to repairing HAM radios for people around the world in his later years, there wasn't anything that Vic couldn't fix and had the patience and perseverance to work through all obstacles until it was repaired!  He was able to take his technical expertise and meld it in with his warm and friendly personality to become the consummate salesperson at Motorola. After retirement, he served in a consultant role and traveled the world introducing government and police personnel to the advantages and benefits of a Motorola communications system, which he did with pride!

Vic always had a hobby and in his twenty years of retirement, there wasn't a day that he didn't have something to do.  In addition to his HAM radio interests, he was a licensed gunsmith, and also enjoyed golf, photography, competitive target shooting, and radio controlled model boats and airplanes. At one time he held a world's record for speed in a radio controlled boat and he built museum quality radio controlled airplanes.

Vic taught us all that through patience and hard work, you can achieve your dreams. His kindness and knowledge will be with us always and he is greatly missed.
