Vicky Jane Zinkgraf Duck, of Houston, Texas, was born on March 4, 1951 and passed away on November 7, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Duck, her parents, Joe and June Zinkgraf, her mother-in-law, Nell Duck, and her brother-in-law, Mike Hipp.

Vicky was a proud, native Houstonian. She only left for college and then came right back. She met Louie at Willow Meadows Baptist Church in the high school youth group. They were married there a few short years later. After graduating from college, they returned to Houston, where Vicky worked at Westbury High School. Although she was only there a few years, she took great pride in being the drill team sponsor.

After her daughters were born, Vicky worked most often for the family business and as an interior design consultant. She was an active PTA member and enjoyed doing projects for her daughters' schools. Her greatest volunteer work was alongside Louie at Houston's First Baptist Church. They opened their home and gave their time to both single adults and later the youth group for many years. In most recent years, she has invested in ladies of all ages at Bayou City Fellowship through mentorship and prayer.

Vicky also had the unique opportunity to help others through her own illnesses. Not only did she counsel others with similar diagnoses, but she also participated in many case studies through M.D. Anderson. The patients she helped are innumerable.

Vicky was a follower of Christ. She came to know Him through her own study of the Bible while in high school. She never wavered in her faith. She had a deep love of Scripture and worship. She loved the Lord passionately.

Louie was the love of her life. She complimented him well, and he her. They instilled their love of Jesus and the church into their children. They loved to be the hands and feet of Christ to others. They enjoyed rich friendships and had a deep love of family. Louie was often considered the funny one, but Vicky had a great sense of humor and the most contagious cackle laugh.

Vicky was a great mom to Catha and Crista and later a mother-in-law to Ryan and Nick. Her love for her grandsons, Henry and Parker, was unmatched. She did everything she could to show her love to her children and grandchildren in abundance.

Vicky is survived by her daughters, Catha Jaynes and husband Ryan, and Crista Henderson and husband Nick; grandsons, Henry Jaynes and Parker Henderson; sister, Marty File and

husband Bobby; sister-in-law, LaVerna Hipp; father-in-law, Ray Duck; nieces and nephew, Tricia Hulet and husband David, Megan Schenk and husband Brady, Teri Meskimen, and Jamie Hipp and wife Jenny; great-nieces and nephews Riley and Graham Schenk, Noah, Landry, McKenna, and Hunter Meskimen, and Jordan, Taylor, and Karis Hipp; and many cousins and dear friends.
