Obituary for Vernell Pecht Turner

September 27, 1928 -May 19, 2022

VERNELL PECHT TURNER, native Houstonian, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the age of 93 years. She was the last of eight siblings.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William J. "Bill" Turner. parents, Edmund F. Pecht and Josie Schuller Pecht; brothers, Jack, Leroy, C.J., S.L., Rev. Vernon Pecht, Rev. Virgil Pecht and Sister Vonnie Adair. Vernell was a charter member of Klein United Methodist Church of Spring, where she was a member of the "Bread of Life" Sunday School class, and a charter member of Klein Chapter #1141, Order of the Eastern Star.

Vernell is survived by her son, Thomas E. Turner and wife Lisa, daughters Karen Turner, Lisa Howell and husband, Greg, and Lori Webb. Also to cherish her memory are grandchildren, Brooke Dean and husband Ryan, Steven Turner and wife Whitney, Sadie Bertrand and husband, Jeff, Cody Howell and Ashlyn Howell-Hernandez and husband, Josh, Logan Webb and wife Stephanie, Madison Morgan and husband Samuel, Sydney Webb and eight great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 24 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX 77379. A private graveside burial will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, Highway 59 at Lauder Road prior to the memorial service at Klein United Methodist Church, 5920 FM 2920 at Kuykendahl, Spring, Texas at 12:30.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Klein United Methodist Church, Oasis Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
