Verna Mae Karl of Tomball, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on April 8, 1940, in San Antonio, Texas to Vernon and Ellen Edwards.

She had been married to her husband, W.E. Karl, Jr., for 60 years, raising three children. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her proudest accomplishment was that of raising her three children and spoiling her grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her and there was nothing that she would not do for them.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, W.E., her parents, Vernon and Ellen Edwards, brothers Guy Edwards and John Edwards, and sisters Barbara Ann Edwards, Lee Chisum, and Margie Smith.

She is survived by her sons Scott Karl, Mark Karl and his wife Tricia, and daughter Vonda Riley and her husband Richard, five grandchildren Charity Seals, Christiana Sinclair, Trena Montgomery, Douglas Moulder, Daniel Moulder, seven great grandchildren and her brother, Kenneth Edwards.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 West Main, Tomball, TX 77375, to be followed by a committal service at 1:00 pm at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.

Mom, you will be truly missed, and we are grateful for our time with you.
