With profound sadness we announce the passing of Ty Lothringer, our loving and devoted father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend to all whose lives he touched, on November 23, 2021.

He left us while sleeping peacefully at his residence located on our cherished family farm in Richards, TX. He was 49.

Born in Houston,TX, on March 6, 1972 to father Floyd C "Skeeter" Lothringer and mother Eraina Lucas Lothringer, Ty grew up in the Northwest area of Houston and graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1990. He went on to follow in the footsteps of his father to be the General Manager of Skeeter's Auto Service, Ltd and host of The Texas Car Doctor Radio Show broadcasting live on AM 700 KSEV every Saturday since 1999.

He was the beloved father of Lauren Taylor Lothringer, cherished son of Eraina Lothringer, loving brother of Rona Lothringer Wallace, proud nephew of Rhonda Lucas Parks and her husband Bradley Parks, uncle to Ashleigh Toney, James A Jenkins III and Jessica Jenkins LaBarge and great uncle to Brett Toney and Caden Toney.

Ty was preceded in death by his father Floyd C. "Skeeter" Lothringer, Grandfathers William "Bill" Lothringer and Wilburn Ira Lucas, Grandmothers Irma Ruth Lothringer and Hazel Lucas Bodak, aunt Sandra Lothringer Wade and Uncle William "Billy" Lothringer. Ty lived a full, colorful life as a wonderful father, son, brother, uncle and friend to so many. He loved serving others, making people smile and was a generous giver. He never left a grocery store without tipping the cashier. He never met a stranger, loved to laugh and to make people laugh and truly made it a priority in his life to make sure his friends, family and even strangers know they were loved. He was actively involved with, and loved to support, the Cy-Fair Future Farmers of America (FFA) students as a buyer for Skeeter's Auto Service and purposely sought out students who had spent so much time and effort raising their animals, but were not going to qualify for the sale, to also buy their animals. He would then donate the animals back to the students.

An avid outdoorsman, Ty enjoyed fishing and hunting, traveling as far as Mexico, Colorado and New Mexico to hunt exotic deer, whitetail and record-setting elk. He started bass fishing as a young boy with his Dad, Skeeter, and together, they went on to win various bass tournaments from Lake Conroe to Lake Sam Rayburn. He also enjoyed bow hunting, feral hog hunting, filling feeders, riding the family's hallowed farm land, feeding and watching his beloved deer and thought every sunrise and sunset was a wonderful gift from God. Most of all Ty loved his family and friends and was never happier than when he was in their company, preferably around a campfire at the farm, listening to music, staring at the stars and laughing into the wee hours of the morning. To know Ty was to love Ty and he will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 4th, 2021 at 10 am at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main, Tomball TX., with viewing beginning at 9am. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow funeral services at Cisco's Salsa Company, 209 Commerce St, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm also in Downtown Tomball just blocks from the funeral home. Food and beverages will be served. Parking has been reserved at the large lot of Tomball Bible Church to accommodate many guests, the church is immediately across the street from the funeral home. There is also limited parking closer to the restaurant. After the Celebration of Life, we will meet back at Tomball Bible Church to stage for his escorted procession to the Graveside Services/Internment at Independence Cemetery located at the intersection of FM 2620 and CR 229 in Shiro, TX . Feeder roads will be included in the route. Coordinates of the family cemetery may be copied and pasted into Google and Apple Maps, (30.6552400, -95.8819580) should you be traveling there independently. Caution: There is no physical address for the family cemetery. If you attempt to enter "Independence Cemetery" into Google Maps it will take you to a similarly named cemetery in Brenham.
