James Ty Hunter, 74, of Houston, Texas was called home to heaven on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.

To say that Ty embraced every minute of his life is an understatement.  He loved his family, hunting, traveling, working, spending time with friends, spoiling his daughters and grandchildren and burning chicken.

Ty graduated from the University of Texas in 1968 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, and is also a Baylor Bear at heart.

Ty was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Oscar Hunter and his brother, Blaine Hunter.

He was a devoted husband to wife, Becky Hunter for 37 years.  He was a loving father to his four daughters, Jennifer Hunter, Amy Matuszak (husband Ross Matuszak), Windy Rosemeyer (husband Scott Rosemeyer) and Haley Nevil (husband Brad Nevil).  He adored his grandchildren Hunter Antkowiak, Ansley Nevil, Michael Nevil, Logan Antkowiak, Ethan Antokowiak, Alex Eisenbeck, Adam Eisenbeck, and Radley Rosemeyer.

Ty is survived by his brothers Joe Hunter (wife Cassy Hunter), Michael Hunter (wife Kathy Hunter) and Patrick Hunter.

He loved his friends as if they were also family.  His genuine and giving spirit touched the lives of just about everyone he ever met.  Ty worked hard and loved to share his blessings with those who were lucky enough to know him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am on Friday, May 14, 2021 at the Chapel In The Woods at Woodlands Church, 1 Fellowship Drive, The Woodlands, Texas, 77384.
