Tracy Ann Jones was born on October 6th,1965 in East Grand Rapids, Michigan to Henry and Susie Jones. Our beloved Tracy Ann departed her earthly life on Thursday, July 30th, 2026 and is now with our Heavenly Father.
Tracy was the fourth of five children and was the oldest daughter. During her youth, she was a cheerleader and a member of the track and field team. She attended Central High School in Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated in 1983. She lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan with her family until 1984 when she relocated to Houston, Texas to attend Texas Southern University. Over the years, Tracy touched many hearts and minds. And she never stopped being a cheerleader at heart! She uplifted and supported everyone around her… always being a guiding light.
She worked as a Telecommunications Analyst at Reliant Energy/NRG Energy Services for over 26 years. Her coworkers loved Tracy dearly. So many called her a dear friend and many more called her family. Her work family supported her just as much as she supported them.
Tracy was baptized as a young child. As an adult, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and devoted her life to Christ. She was a devoted and active member of Willing Workers Baptist Church in Houston, TX until her passing.
Tracy's legacy of love, service and support to her friends and family will live on through those she left behind. She was a faithful servant of the Lord, a forever friend and confidant. She carried herself with honesty, integrity and love. She had incredible patience and was always willing to help others. Her memory should remind us that we have full control of our dispositions. It's our choice to live a life of meaningful acts of love and service, like Christ modeled for us. Let us remember Tracy just as she was… an Angel. Let us remember the past with gratitude, live the present with enthusiasm and look forward to the future with confidence and love.
