Loving Wife, Beloved Mother, and Cherished Grandmother, Tracy Lynn Godfrey, has succumb to her battle with liver failure on November 17, 2023. She was born March 9, 1967, and lived all of her life in Houston/Galveston.

As a young girl, Tracy stayed busy with school classes, roller-skating championships, and even had several basic high school jobs. As everyone knows, Tracy never liked doing anything small. This was prevalent beginning in her teenage years as she lived and experienced life.  This became especially true once she became a car driver in her Lima Bean Green Chevy Nova.  She was able to make friends easily and never met a stranger.  Tracy had a captivating personality that was infectious.
Tracy started settling into her groove as a young adult when she entered the banking industry at Texas Commerce as a teller.  She then worked with Bank United, and many others, to end up at Stellar Bank in loan processing. Tracy met many people and made many good friends along the way. She was never one to shy away from trying to meet new friends. One of her proudest accomplishments was helping with the starting of the Needham Road Baptist Church, a place that always felt like her church home. Even when she had moved farther away, she would always return despite the long journey.  She always wanted to be there. When the time came that she couldn't travel there, she started following the sermons through Facebook.  Tracy was a beautiful soul and would glow when speaking of her faith.  She was proud of her involvement with the church and never hesitated to share her loving and accepting heart.
Tracy met her husband Nowell, and they were married in July of 2004.  She enjoyed traveling and he was finally inspired to join her on her journeys. They traveled across the US and even to her dream destination of Italy. She shared her love for these adventures with everyone she could. She would even try to get them to tag along. Despite her recent health issues, Tracy was adamant about making her next trips come true to the very end. She now is on her final trip where she has joined her heavenly father and those who passed before her.   She is now free to explore the universe and enjoy the everlasting life she deserved.

Tracy was a godly person, never met a stranger, had a contagious and bubbly personality, and was truly a genuine and kindhearted soul.  All who know her are in agreement that she was truly an angel on earth.  Her presence will be greatly missed, as she was the center of so many lives.  Tracy's unconditional love for her family, her friends, and her colleagues will forever be her legacy.   She took with her all that matters in the end, and that is the immeasurable amount of love of those she left behind.
