Tonya Sue Johnson passed away unexpectedly at age 64 on Sunday, February 12, 2023. Tonya was the most loving, caring, hard working, and kindest person you would ever want to meet. She was born to parents Luther Boyd Godfrey & Dorothy Lucille Hall Godfrey in Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to Texas in 1978. She met the love of her life Bob, and she was the love of his, in 1985. They married a year later and had 3 amazing children: Jake, Katie, & Travis. Tonya & Bob raised their family in Cypress, Texas and moved out to Magnolia, Texas where she lived out the rest of her life. She dedicated her life to her children. Tonya worked in many positions throughout her life but her favorite was being an art framer, where she used her creative skills to bring customers ideas to life. Her favorite part was seeing the joy on their faces when she revealed the final work. She eventually retired from framing to spend more time with Bob and their two dogs Lacey & Mya out on their property she called The Cabin. The Cabin was her happy place. Tonya & Bob would spend every weekend working out at The Cabin, then relaxing with cocktails on the deck she & Bob built up on a hill overlooking the property, or sitting around the fire pit with a nice fire going. Tonya loved nature, animals and exploring. She loved traveling the country with loved ones and has an impressive rock collection to show for it. She loved collecting rocks, and could not wait to show off her newest additions. She was happiest with family. She was a happy, loving person who would drop everything to help someone that was in need, and she always put others in front of herself. Tonya was preceded in death by both parents and her sister, Theresa. She is survived by her husband Bob, sons Travis, Jake & future grandchild expected in August, daughter Katie, Sister Peggy, Brother Ronnie, Nephews Michael & Austin, Nieces Stephanie & Ashley, Cousin Jimmy and his wife Sue, and her closest friend Sue.
She will be truly missed and always loved. Rest in peace our darling Tonya.
