United States Army Veteran and retired Houston Police Department Officer, Tommy E. Westerman, was born in Florence, Alabama on May 27, 1944, and passed away in Houston, Texas on February 23, 2021.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Westerman Sr. and Lucille Kemp and brother, Floyd Westerman Jr.

Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Sandria F. Westerman; his children, Rebecca Westerman Carter and husband Randy Carter, Julie Westerman McClosky and husband Carl McClosky, and Nathan Westerman; and grandchildren, Wesley Carter, Jeremy Carter, Avery Carter, Olivia Carter, Justin Carter, Valerie Carter, Jemma Carter, Tyler McClosky, Macy McClosky, Karly McClosky, Juniper Westerman, and his sister; Nina Jahnke.

Tommy loved his family fiercely and adored his children and grandchildren.  He was full of life and shared his passions with the ones he loved. He was an avid fisherman. He took pride in his barbeque. He had a love of sports, especially baseball, Go 'Stros! He had a talent with tools and tinkering. He could fix anything, including building racecars in his youth. He told jokes and police stories with anyone who would listen. His spirit of hospitality and welcoming smile will be remembered.

Due to Covid restrictions, Tommy's funeral service will be private, but those who wish to join the family at the graveside service in Holly Grove, TX are welcome to do so. The funeral service will be live streamed, and may be viewed through the following link:
