Tommy Wayne Morrison, 77, of Magnolia, Texas passed away September 3, 2021. Tommy was born on October 26, 1943, in Dallas, Texas to Tom Kenneth (TK) and Benita Brown Morrison. He grew up in East Houston and Aldine working cows alongside his family.   He spent many nights rodeoing at Circle 8, Deer Park, and any other rodeo he could find. He was involved in FFA, Track, and Vocational Industries. Tommy graduated from Smiley High School in 1962.

On March 4, 1966, he married his loving wife, Lillian (Poochie) Tullos in Humble, TX. They lived in Aldine until 1979. Then they moved to Magnolia where they continued to reside. They had two children, Tommy Jr. and Tammy.

Tommy began shoeing horses as a teenager and was currently shoeing a few horses. He rode bulls and bareback horses, calf roped, team roped, steer roped, and steer dogged for many years. He was a member of the International Rodeo Association, Southwest Rodeo Association, Louisiana Rodeo Association, United Rodeo Association, Rodeo Cowboy Association (now PRCA), United States Team Roping Association, Old Timer Cowboy Rodeo Association (now Texas Senior Pro Rodeo Association) and many other rodeo organizations. He was an assistant tee ball and football coach for the little league association.  After he retired from the rodeo circuit, his love for fishing grew stronger. He loved to go to small ponds and catch a big bass with his wife and friends. Tommy was well known for his toothpick that he always had on him. He loved to pick and play practical jokes on everyone; however, he didn't find jokes with snakes near as funny when they were pulled on him.  His only granddaughter was the apple of his eye. He joked that if he knew a grandkid would have been so fun, he would have had her first.  They loved to watch cartoons together and both picked on each other. They had such a special relationship.

Tommy was no ordinary man. He lived a simple life and was loved by many people from all over. Friends described him as a great cowboy and an even greater man.  He may have been that quiet guy in the corner, but he would be the first one there if you needed something.

He is preceded in death by his parents: TK and Benita Morrison, his 3 brothers: Johnny Ray, Travis, and Billy Morrison, numerous family and friends.

Tommy is survived by his wife Poochie, son Tommy Morrison Jr. and wife Debbie, daughter Tammy Halfmann and husband Adam, granddaughter Aubrey Halfmann, sister Glenda Fleischman, Aunt Carol Morrison, and numerous family and friends.
