Tommie Lajuan Plaster Emmite was born in Huntsville, Texas on February 11, 1950, and passed away in Houston, Texas on November 13, 2024, one of eight children born to Thomas and Sarah Plaster.

Tommie is survived by her loving husband Frank, with whom she shared a life for 49 years, her daughters, Tami Sarns, Shannon Outlaw, and Kelly Lebig; Son-in-law, Mark Lebig; and grandchildren, Fallon Ramos, Paige Howland, Kassie Baxter, Frankie Outlaw, MacKenzie Baxter, Noah Lebig, and Parker Lebig. And great-grandchildren Shawn Singleton, SJ Ramos, Tesla Ramos, Kennedy Howland, and Lincoln Howland; nieces that she called her Bonus Daughters, Dink and Cindy, and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Homer Ray and Bobby; her sisters, Marlene, Faye, Shirley, Annie, and Linda; and her Son-In-Law, Wayne Outlaw.

Tommie was raised in Alvin and graduated from Alvin High School in 1968.

As a single mother of two daughters in her early twenties, Tommie became a secretary for a title company. Shortly after, she met Frank, the love of her life. Frank and Tommie were married on April 30, 1977, in Dickinson, Texas. In 1981, they welcomed their third daughter. They resided in Houston, Texas for the last 40 years, where they raised their daughters and she was a devoted Nana to her grandchildren.

Tommie ended her 45-year career as the Branch Manager at Charter Title.

She loved all of her siblings tremendously and shared a sisterly bond that never failed.  Tommie and Frank also had a very special connection with Linda and her husband Johnny. They were a foursome who did everything together. Tommie will be greatly missed, but she is now rejoicing with the Lord in the arms of her parents and siblings. And in her own words below, she took comfort in that.

"My friend, Ginger, gave me the best vision to hold in my heart. She said "Imagine your Mother and Daddy and all your sisters and brothers in heaven standing on a balcony looking down at you and letting you know they will all be there when it is your time to go home.". I take comfort in that thought."  - Tommie Emmite
