Tobe Gus Langley was born on August 24,1933 in Benavides Texas. He passed away in his home on May 9, 2024. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeanne Langley. He was a loving father to his children; Jayanna Warwick and husband Randy; Amy Griffith and husband David; Jennifer Langley and late husband Todd. He was a much loved and treasured grandfather of 6, Brittany, Ben, Connor, Alyssa, Brooke and Claire, as well as great-grandfather to Jackson, Eli, Paige and Charlotte. He is also survived by his sister Angie Hibbard.
He graduated from Texas A&I University and joined the Air Force where he served at Holloman Air Force Base in Alamogordo, New Mexico.
In 1957 he met his wife Jeanne. They were married in 1961 and together served as missionaries in the Philippines for five years. Upon returning to the US he began serving as a minister in the Church of Christ for 10 years.
Tobe and Jeanne retired and moved to Bandera, Texas where they lived until 2022 when they moved to be near their daughter.
Tobe loved gardening and you could usually find him tending his yard and garden. This love was inherited by some of his children and grandchildren.
In the last years of his life, Tobe suffered from dementia. Tobe loved the Lord and we know he is finally whole and with Jesus.
